Hadith 9353

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : " مَا احْتَذَى النِّعَالَ وَلَا انْتَعَلَ ، وَلَا رَكِبَ الْمَطَايَا ، وَلَا لَبِسَ الْكُورَ ، مِنْ رَجُلٍ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَفْضَلُ مِنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ " ، يَعْنِي فِي الْجُودِ وَالْكَرَمِ .
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that after the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), no person more virtuous than Hazrat Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) ever wore or put on shoes, rode a mount, or adorned himself with the best clothes in generosity and open-handedness.
