Hadith 9340

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " لَا تَنْذِرُوا ، فَإِنَّ النَّذْرَ لَا يُقَدِّمُ مِنَ الْقَدَرِ شَيْئًا ، وَإِنَّمَا يُسْتَخْرَجُ بِهِ مِنَ الْبَخِيلِ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade making vows and said: Nothing can be obtained before its due time through a vow; however, through a vow, wealth is extracted from a miserly person.
