Hadith 9043

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " إِذَا تَكَلَّمْتَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ ، وَأَلْغَيْتَ " .
It is narrated with the previous chain that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the Imam is delivering the Friday sermon and you speak to your companion, then you have engaged in idle talk and rendered it void.
