It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw an elderly man walking between his two sons, taking their support. He asked, "What is the matter with this elder? (Why does he not ride?)" His sons replied, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he had made a vow (and to fulfill it, he is not riding)." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O elder! Ride. Allah is greater and more free of need than you and your vow (He will accept it)."
