Hadith 8840

Abu Hazim says that one day I was standing behind Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was performing ablution, and he was washing his hands up to the armpits. I asked, "Abu Huraira! What kind of ablution is this?" He looked at me and said, "O Bani Farukh, if I had known that you were here, I would never have performed ablution in this manner. (In any case, now that you have found out, listen:) I heard my beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say that the brightness of a Muslim's limbs will reach as far as the water of ablution reaches."
