Hadith 8818

حَدَّثَنَا هَيْثَمٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " كَفَّارَةُ الْمَجَالِسِ أَنْ يَقُولَ الْعَبْدُ : سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The expiation for a gathering is that when a person gets up from a gathering, he should say: "Subhanak Allahumma wa bihamdika astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik."
