حَدَّثَنَا
هَيْثَمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا
حَفْصُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنِ
الْعَلَاءِ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ :
" يَقُولُ الْعَبْدُ : مَالِي وَمَالِي ، وَإِنَّمَا لَهُ مِنْ مَالِهِ ثَلَاثٌ مَا أَكَلَ فَأَفْنَى ، أَوْ لَبِسَ فَأَبْلَى ، أَوْ أَعْطَى فَأَقْنَى ، مَا سِوَى ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ ذَاهِبٌ وَتَارِكُهُ لِلنَّاسِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Man keeps saying, "My wealth, my wealth," whereas his wealth is only of three things: what he ate and consumed, what he wore and wore out, or what he gave in the way of Allah and made someone happy. Whatever is beyond this will be left for the people.
