Hadith 8811

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا هَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَمْ تَرَوْا مَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : مَا أَنْعَمْتُ عَلَى عِبَادِي مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ إِلَّا أَصْبَحَ فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ كَافِرِينَ ، يَقُولُونَ : الْكَوْكَبُ وَبِالْكَوْكَبِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "See what your Lord has said. He says: Whenever I bestowed blessings upon My servants, there was always a group among them who showed ingratitude for those blessings and kept saying, 'This is due to such-and-such star's influence,' and, 'This happened because of such-and-such star.'"
