(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ مَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ " ، وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ سَأَلَ عُمَرَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، إِذَا حَدَّثَكَ سَعْدٌ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا ، فَلَا تَسْأَلْ عَنْهُ غَيْرَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped over the leather socks (khuffs). Later, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked his father, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), about this matter. He replied: This is correct. When Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates any hadith to you, do not ask anyone else about it.
