Hadith 8796

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلَا مَا فِي الْبُيُوتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَالذُّرِّيَّةِ ، لَأَقَمْتُ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ ، وَأَمَرْتُ فِتْيَانِي يُحْرِقُونَ مَا فِي الْبُيُوتِ بِالنَّارِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If there were no women and children in the houses, I would order the prayer of Isha to be established and then instruct my young men to set fire to whatever is in those houses.
