حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ يَعْنِي الْفَزَارِيَّ ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَنْفَقَ زَوْجًا أَوْ قَالَ : زَوْجَيْنِ مِنْ مَالِهِ أُرَاهُ قَالَ : فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ، دَعَتْهُ خَزَنَةُ الْجَنَّةِ : يَا مُسْلِمُ ، هَذَا خَيْرٌ هَلُمَّ إِلَيْهِ " ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ : هَذَا رَجُلٌ لَا تُودَى عَلَيْهِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " مَا نَفَعَنِي مَالٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا مَالُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ " ، قَالَ : فَبَكَى أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَقَالَ : وَهَلْ نَفَعَنِي اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِكَ ، وَهَلْ نَفَعَنِي اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِكَ ، وَهَلْ نَفَعَنِي اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever spends a pair or two of something from his wealth in the way of Allah, the gatekeepers of Paradise call him, "O Muslim, this is goodness, come forward towards it." Hazrat Siddiq Akbar (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted, "No harm can come to such a person." Upon this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "The benefit I have received from Abu Bakr's wealth, I have not received from anyone else's wealth." Hearing this, Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) began to weep and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I and my wealth are all yours. Allah has benefited me through you." (He said this three times.)
