Hadith 8789

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم : " حَرَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ كُلَّ ذِي نَابٍ مِنَ السِّبَاعِ ، وَالْمُجَثَّمَةَ ، وَالْحِمَارَ الْإِنْسِيَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Khaybar, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) declared as forbidden every predatory animal that hunts with its fangs, animals tied and targeted on a stake, and domesticated donkeys.
