Hadith 870

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الْأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُنْتُ رَجُلًا مَذَّاءً ، فَأَمَرْتُ رَجُلًا فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهُ ، فَقَالَ : " فِيهِ الْوُضُوءُ " .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I used to suffer from excessive discharge of madhiy (pre-seminal fluid). I told a man, and he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about its ruling. He said: "Only wudu (ablution) is obligatory due to madhiy."
