Hadith 8658

حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَتَكَلَّمُ بِالْكَلِمَةِ مَا يَرَى أَنْ تَبْلُغَ حَيْثُ بَلَغَتْ ، يَهْوِي بِهَا فِي النَّارِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sometimes a person utters a word and he does not realize that this word can reach such an extent, but on the Day of Resurrection, as a result of that single word, he will keep tumbling in Hell for seventy years.
