Hadith 8647

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، وَعَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَوْسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَة ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَصْنَافٍ صِنْفٌ مُشَاةٌ ، وَصِنْفٌ رُكْبَانٌ ، وَصِنْفٌ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ " ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَكَيْفَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ ؟ وقَال عفانَ : يمشون قال : " إِنَّ الَّذِي أَمْشَاهُمْ عَلَى أَرْجُلِهِمْ ، قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُمْشِيَهُمْ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ ، أَمَا إِنَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ بِوُجُوهِهِمْ كُلَّ حَدَبٍ وَشَوْكٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the Day of Resurrection, people will be gathered in three groups: one group will be those who walk on foot, one group will be those who ride, and one group will be those who walk on their faces. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked, "O Messenger of Allah! How will people walk on their faces?" He replied: The One who makes them walk on their feet is surely able to make them walk on their faces as well. Therefore, they should protect their faces from every slippery place and thorn.
