Hadith 861

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ عَنَزَةَ ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ عَلِيٌّ حِينَ ثَوَّبَ الْمُثَوِّبُ لِصَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " أَمَرَنَا نُوِتْرٍ ، فَثَبَتَ لَهُ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ " ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَقِمْ يَا ابْنَ النَّوَّاحَةِ .
A man from Banu Asad says that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came out while the muezzin was informing the people for the Fajr prayer. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to perform Witr at this time. Ibn Nawahah! Stand up and give the Iqamah.
