Hadith 8600

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ ، فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الْعَمَلِ أَدْوَمُهُ وَإِنْ قَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take upon yourselves only as much of deeds as you are able, for the best deed is that which is done consistently, even if it is little in amount.
