حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أُحِبُّ أَنَّ أُحُدَكُمْ هَذَا ذَهَبًا أُنْفِقُ مِنْهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ ، فَيَمُرُّ بِي ثَلَاثَةٌ وَعِنْدِي مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا شَيْئًا ، أَرْصُدُهُ لِدَيْنٍ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the mountain of Uhud were to turn into gold for me, I would be pleased to spend it in the way of Allah, and not even three days should pass over me with a single dinar or dirham remaining with me, except for that which I keep aside for the repayment of a debt that is due upon me.
