Hadith 8594

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ رَبِّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنِ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَدْخُلُ النَّارَ إِلَّا شَقِيٌّ " ، قِيلَ : وَمَنْ الشَّقِيُّ ؟ قَالَ : " الَّذِي لَا يَعْمَلُ بِطَاعَةٍ ، وَلَا يَتْرُكُ لِلَّهِ مَعْصِيَةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Only the wretched will enter Hell. Someone asked, "Who is the wretched?" He replied: The one who does not do any good deed and does not refrain from any sinful act.
