Hadith 8593

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " لَا يَجْتَمِعُ الْإِيمَانُ وَالْكُفْرُ فِي قَلْبِ امْرِئٍ ، وَلَا يَجْتَمِعُ الصِّدْقُ وَالْكَذِبُ جَمِيعًا ، وَلَا تَجْتَمِعُ الْخِيَانَةُ وَالْأَمَانَةُ جَمِيعًا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith and disbelief cannot be combined in a man's heart; falsehood and truth cannot be gathered in one place; and betrayal and trustworthiness cannot be combined together.
