حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي نُعْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَاشِدٍ الْجَزَرِيَّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَاب ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " إِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِيَمِينِهِ ، وَيَشْرَبْ بِيَمِينِه ، فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ ، وَيَشْرَبُ بِشِمَالِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you eats, he should eat with his right hand and drink with his right hand, for Satan eats and drinks with his left hand.
