Hadith 8584

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، يَقُولُ : " أَبْرِدُوا عن الصَّلَاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَوْرِ جَهَنَّمَ ، فِي كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ قِرَاءَةٌ ، فَمَا أَسْمَعَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْمَعْنَاكُمْ ، وَمَا أَخْفَى عَلَيْنَا أَخْفَيْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the intensity of heat is due to the effect of the heat of Hell, therefore perform the prayer after letting it cool down. And in every prayer, recitation is done; however, in those prayers in which the Prophet (peace be upon him) recited aloud to us, we too will recite aloud to you, and in those in which he recited quietly, we too will recite quietly.
