Musnad Ahmad — Hadith 8571 /1
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُحَادَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو حَازِمٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " خُلُوفُ فَمِ الصَّائِمِ ، أَطْيَبُ أَوْ قَالَ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The breath of the fasting person is more pleasant to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
