Hadith 8565

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّام ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : " أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ شِقْصًا مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ ، فَأَجَازَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِتْقَهُ ، وَغَرَّمَهُ بَقِيَّةَ ثَمَنِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man freed a slave according to his share. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) validated this emancipation and made him responsible for the remaining price.
