Hadith 8559

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَحْسِرَ الْفُرَاتُ عَنْ جَبَلٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، يَقْتَتِلُ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ حَتَّى يُقْتَلَ مِنْ كُلِّ عَشْرَةٍ تِسْعَةٌ ، وَيَبْقَى وَاحِدٌ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Soon the water of the Euphrates will recede, uncovering a mountain of gold from beneath it. People will begin to fight over it, until out of every ten men, nine will be killed and only one will survive.
