حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَهُوَ أَبُو حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ إِذَا عَمِلْتُهُ دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ! قَالَ : " تَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا ، وَتُقِيمُ الصَّلَاةَ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ ، وَتُؤَدِّي الزَّكَاةَ الْمَفْرُوضَةَ ، وَتَصُومُ رَمَضَانَ " ، قَالَ : وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ ، لَا أَزِيدُ عَلَى هَذَا شَيْئًا أَبَدًا ، وَلَا أَنْقُصُ مِنْهُ ، فَلَمَّا وَلَّى قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى هَذَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), tell me of an action which, if I act upon it, I will enter Paradise?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Worship Allah, do not associate anything with Him, establish the obligatory prayers, pay the obligatory zakat, and fast in Ramadan." The Bedouin said, "By Allah, I will neither decrease nor increase anything from this on my own." When he left, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wants to see a man of Paradise, let him look at this one."
