Hadith 8494

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْبَصْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " مَنْ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى آيَةٍ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى ، كُتِبَ لَهُ حَسَنَةٌ مُضَاعَفَةٌ ، وَمَنْ تَلَاهَا كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever listens to one verse of the Qur'an, an increased reward is written for him, and whoever recites it, it will be a source of light for him on the Day of Resurrection.
