Hadith 8493

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِينَ مَرَّةً " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: By Allah, I seek repentance and forgiveness from Allah more than seventy times a day.
