Hadith 8486

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , قَالَ : " خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ أَوَّلُهَا ، وَشَرُّهَا آخِرُهَا ، وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ آخٍِِرُهَا ، وَشَرُّهَا أَوَّلُهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The first row among the rows of men is the best, and the last row is the closest to evil; and among the rows of women, the last row is the best, and the first row is the closest to evil.
