Hadith 8463

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَزِّمِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِسَبْعَةِ أَضُبٍّ عَلَيْهَا تَمْرٌ وَسَمْنٌ ، فَقَالَ : " كُلُوا فَإِنِّي أَعَافُهَا " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once seven lizards were presented to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), along with dates and ghee. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "You people eat it; I refrain from it."
