Hadith 8459

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، وَسُرَيْجٌ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قال رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَبْلَ السَّاعَةِ سِنُونَ خَدَّاعَةٌ ، يُكَذَّبُ فِيهَا الصَّادِقُ ، وَيُصَدَّقُ فِيهَا الْكَاذِبُ ، وَيُخَوَّنُ فِيهَا الْأَمِين ، وَيُؤْتَمَنُ فِيهَا الْخَائِنُ ، وَيَنْطِقُ فِيهَا الرُّوَيْبِضَةُ " ، قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ : " وَيَنْظُرُ فِيهَا الرُّوَيْبِضَةُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Before the Day of Judgment, there will come upon the people years of deception; in them, the liar will be considered truthful and the truthful will be considered a liar, the dishonest will be regarded as trustworthy and the trustworthy will be regarded as dishonest, and in those days, the "ruwaybidah" will speak. (Someone asked, "What is meant by ruwaybidah?" He replied: The foolish person will begin to speak in matters concerning the general public.)
