Hadith 8442

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، وَعَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي الْخِصْبِ فَأَعْطُوا الْإِبِلَ حَقَّهَا ، وَإِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي الْجَدْبِ فَأَسْرِعُوا السَّيْرَ ، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتُمْ التَّعْرِيسَ فَتَنَكَّبُوا عَنِ الطَّرِيق " ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ : أخبرنا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you travel through a green and lush area, give the camels their due (and let them graze peacefully), and if you travel through a dry land, then pass quickly through that area, and when you wish to camp at night, camp away from the road.
