Hadith 84

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى بِنَا عُمَرُ بِجَمْعٍ الصُّبْحَ ، ثُمَّ وَقَفَ ، وَقَالَ : " إِنَّ الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَانُوا لَا يُفِيضُونَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَالَفَهُمْ ، ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ " .
Amr bin Maymoon says that once Sayyiduna Farooq-e-Azam (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in the Fajr prayer at Muzdalifah, then he stayed there and said that the polytheists did not return before sunrise, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not adopt this method, after that Sayyiduna Farooq-e-Azam (may Allah be pleased with him) departed from Muzdalifah towards Mina before sunrise.
