Hadith 8336

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ شَهْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ وَفْدُ عَبْدِ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كُلُّ امْرِئٍ حَسِيبُ نَفْسِهِ ، لِيَشْرَبْ كُلُّ قَوْمٍ فِيمَا بَدَا لَهُم " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the delegation of Banu Abdul Qais came, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Every person is accountable for his own self, and every nation may prepare nabidh in those vessels which they find suitable.
