Hadith 8335

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " نَهَى أَنْ يَشْرَبَ الرَّجُلُ قَائِمًا ، وَعَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ ، وَأَنْ يَمْنَعَ الرَّجُلُ جَارَهُ أَنْ يَضَعَ خَشَبَةً فِي حَائِطِهِ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking water while standing, drinking water by putting the mouth to a waterskin, and forbade a neighbor from preventing his neighbor from placing wood on his wall.
