Hadith 8328

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، وأبو سلمة , عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " نَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالشَّكِّ مِنْ إِبْرَاهِيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام إِذْ قَالَ : رَبِّ أَرِنِي كَيْفَ تُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى قَالَ أَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي سورة البقرة آية 260 " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: We are more deserving of doubt than Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), because he had said: "O my Lord, show me how You give life to the dead." Allah said: "Do you not believe?" He replied: "Yes, but I wish to satisfy my heart."
