Hadith 8326

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ حُذَافَةَ السَّهْمِيَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي ، فَجَهَرَ بِصَلَاتِهِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَا ابْنَ حُذَافَةَ ، " لَا تُسْمِعْنِي وَأَسْمِعْ رَبَّكَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Hazrat Abdullah bin Huzafah Sahmi (may Allah be pleased with him) stood up to pray and began reciting in a loud voice. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "O Ibn Huzafah! Do not make me hear, make your Lord hear."
