Hadith 819

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا زَوَّجَهُ فَاطِمَةَ ، " بَعَثَ مَعَهَا بِخَمِيلَةٍ ، وَوِسَادَةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ ، وَرَحَيَيْنِ ، وَسِقَاءٍ ، وَجَرَّتَيْنِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave in the dowry of Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) a coarse cloth, a water skin, and a leather pillow stuffed with idhkhir grass, as well as two hand mills and two water pots.
