Hadith 8169

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ ، وَلَوْ يَنْدَفِعُ النَّاسُ فِي شُعْبَةٍ ، أَوْ فِي وَادٍ ، وَالْأَنْصَارُ فِي شُعْبَةٍ ، لَانْدَفَعْتُ معَ الأْنصارِ فِي شِعْبِهِمْ " .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If there had been no migration, I would have been one of the Ansar. If people were to walk in one valley and the Ansar in another valley, then I would walk with the Ansar in their valley.
