Hadith 8159

وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : بَيْنَمَا أَيُّوبُ يَغْتَسِلُ عُرْيَانًا ، خَرَّ عَلَيْهِ جَرَادٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ، فَجَعَلَ أَيُّوبُ يَحْثِي فِي ثَوْبِهِ ، فَنَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ : " يَا أَيُّوبُ ، أَلَمْ أَكُنْ أُغْنِيكَ عَمَّا تَرَى ؟ " قَالَ : بَلَى يَا رَبِّ ، وَلَكِنْ لَا غِنَى بِي عَنْ بَرَكَتِكَ .
And the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Once Allah Almighty sent down a shower of golden locusts upon Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him) while he was bathing without clothes. Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him) began gathering them into his garment. Then a voice called out: "O Ayyub, have We not given you enough of what is sufficient for you?" He replied: "Yes, my Lord, but who can remain indifferent to Your bounty?"
