مسنَد اَبِی هرَیرَةَ رَضِیَ اللَّه عَنهMusnad of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 8144
اُردوEn
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " ذَرُونِي مَا تَرَكْتُكُمْ ، فَإِنَّمَا أُهْلِكَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ بِسُؤَالِهِمْ وَاخْتِلَافِهِمْ عَلَى أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ ، فَإِذَا نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ شَيْءٍ ، فَاجْتَنِبُوهُ ، وَإِذَا أَمَرْتُكُمْ بِأَمْرٍ ، فَأْتَمِرُوا مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ " .
And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When I leave you regarding a matter, then you too leave me regarding it, because the nations before you were destroyed only due to asking too many questions and differing with their prophets. Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you, do it to the best of your ability.
