It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that we were present in the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at the time of the Battle of Khaybar. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding a claimant of Islam that he is from the people of Hell. When we participated in the battle, he fought very bravely and received many wounds. Someone said in the presence of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the man about whom you said he is from the people of Hell, today he fought very bravely and has died?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "He has entered Hell." At this, the people were about to fall into doubt, when someone said, "He has not died yet, but his wounds are very severe." When night fell, he could not bear the pain of his wounds and committed suicide. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed of this, he said "Allahu Akbar" and declared, "I bear witness that I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger." Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Hazrat Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to announce that only a Muslim person will enter Paradise, and sometimes Allah Almighty helps His religion even through a sinful and wicked person.
