Hadith 8088

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ فَقَالَ : إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ ، لَمْ يَحْنَثْ " . قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : وَهُوَ اخْتَصَرَهُ ، يَعْنِي مَعْمَرًا .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever swears an oath about something and says "InshaAllah" along with it, then he will not be sinful in his oath.
