Hadith 8082

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ ، لَوْ لَمْ تُذْنِبُوا ، لَذَهَبَ اللَّهُ بِكُمْ ، وَلَجَاءَ بِقَوْمٍ يُذْنِبُونَ فَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ اللَّهَ ، فَيَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you did not commit sins, Allah would bring a people who would commit sins, then seek forgiveness from Allah, so that Allah may forgive them.
