Hadith 8081

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَوْ كَانَ الدِّينُ عِنْدَ الثُّرَيَّا ، لَذَهَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ فَارِسَ أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ حَتَّى يَتَنَاوَلَهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If knowledge were to be found even at the Pleiades, some people from among the sons of Persia would acquire it from there.
