Hadith 7951

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اطَّلَعْتُ فِي النَّارِ ، فَوَجَدْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا النِّسَاءَ ، وَاطَّلَعْتُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، فَرَأَيْتُ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِهَا الْفُقَرَاءَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I looked into Hell and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women, and I looked into Paradise and saw that the majority of its inhabitants were the poor.
