Hadith 7944

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الطَّاعَةِ ، وَفَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ ، فَمَاتَ ، فَمِيتَتُهُ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ ، وَمَنْ قَاتَلَ تَحْتَ رَايَةٍ عِمِّيَّةٍ ، يَغْضَبُ لِعَصَبَتِهِ ، وَيُقَاتِلُ لِعَصَبَتِهِ ، وَيَنْصُرُ عَصَبَتَهُ ، فَقُتِلَ ، فَقِتْلَةٌ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ ، وَمَنْ خَرَجَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي ، يَضْرِبُ بَرَّهَا وَفَاجِرَهَا ، لَا يَتَحَاشَى لِمُؤْمِنِهَا ، وَلَا يَفِي لِذِي عَهْدِهَا ، فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي ، وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever withdraws from obedience to the leader and separates from the community and dies in that state, his death is a death of ignorance. And whoever fights under a banner without purpose (on the basis of national or linguistic prejudice), expresses anger for it, fights for it, and helps for it, and is killed, then his death is also like the death of ignorance. And whoever rebels against my Ummah, killing the righteous and the wicked alike, does not show regard for a believer, and does not fulfill the covenant with those with whom he has a covenant, then he has nothing to do with me and I have nothing to do with him.
