حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ
الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَثَلِ الزَّرْعِ ، لَا يَزَالُ الرِّيحُ تُفِيئُهُ ، وَلَا يَزَالُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يُصِيبُهُ بَلَاءٌ ، وَمَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَمَثَلِ شَجَرَةِ الْأَرْزَةِ ، لَا تَهْتَزُّ حَتَّى تُسْتَحْصَدَ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The example of a Muslim is like that of a crop; winds keep blowing over the crop and keep shaking it, and calamities keep coming upon a Muslim. And the example of a hypocrite is like that of a pine tree, which does not move by itself, but is uprooted all at once.
