عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ
الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا رَفَعَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ :
" أَسْرِعُوا بِجَنَائِزِكُمْ ، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ صَالِحَةً ، عَجَّلْتُمُوهَا إِلَى الْخَيْرِ ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ طَالِحَةً ، اسْتَرَحْتُمْ مِنْهَا ، وَوَضَعْتُمُوهَا عَنْ رِقَابِكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) both as a mawquf and marfu’ narration that: Hasten in carrying the funeral procession, for if the deceased was righteous, you are taking him towards goodness, and if the deceased was sinful, then it is an evil which you are removing from your shoulders and thus attaining relief.
