حَدَّثَنَا
عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا
مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ
أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ
أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :
" خَيْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ مَا كَانَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى ، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ ، وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى " ، قُلْتُ لِأَيُّوبَ : " مَا عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى ؟ " قَالَ : عَنْ فَضْلِ غِنَاكَ .
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best charity is that which is given with a content heart. The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and you should begin your charity and alms with those who are under your responsibility.
